Animal and Soil Health Made Easy!
by Dr. Jim Ladlie, ProfitProAG President and Noël Gauthier, NUVAC R & D Director
Healthy soil and animals are a necessity if producers are to optimize profitability or leverage the antibiotic-free markets. To do so, one must approach livestock, poultry and crop production as a holistic and renewal farming system. To achieve full potential with these systems, management of water quality (pH) and soil health is required.
• Adjust water from 6.0 to 6.5 pH and administer digesting microbes into the drinking water to improve water quality, animal health and feed efficiency.
• Achieve optimum soil health by optimizing soil biodiversity, organic matter (bioactive carbon), mineral balance and availability (all trace minerals).
• The goal is to reduce salts, chemicals, drugs and GMO traits in production systems.
This approach provides optimum food/feed of high nutrient density, energy and growth, which produces the secondary plant metabolites necessary for healthy livestock and poultry in an all-natural production system.
Biological treatment of manure/litter also supports the healthy soil objective.
This value-added, holistic approach is called the ProfitMaster Full-Circle System. The objective is to lower production cost, improve output quality and quantity and allow for value-added premiums. It provides a direction to achieve an environmentally-conscious approach to farming, which reduces the dependence on chemical toxins and drugs.
